Private Dining at THOMPSON St Albans
This first-floor restaurant dining area can accommodate up to 50 diners. Our beautiful light and airy conservatory can seat up to 28 guests, with French doors opening out onto the terrace, offering additional capacity for a further 20 guests with exclusive use when the conservatory is booked.
We understand that every event is different; we will take into account your requirements and requests, to ensure your special occasion is exactly as you wish it to be.

- Outdoor area / al fresco dining: available to those booking our 28-capacity conservatory for private dining. The additional 20-seater space is a quaint courtyard adorned with honeysuckle, trailing ivy and a variety of other greenery.
- Private dining: includes our conservatory and upstairs dining areas
- Accessibility: we have a completely wheelchair-accessible ground-floor area including toilet facilities.
Function booking points to note
- We ask for a £50 per person deposit for all reservations
- We welcome large party reservations of 12 or more on a private hire basis
- We may ask for a minimum spend to be met to hire any of our rooms privately
- A discretionary 12.5% service charge will be added to your bill
- Please advise us of any special dietary requirements at the point of booking
- Please may we ask that you advise your party of the arrival time only, half an hour before the time of your table. To ensure an efficient service for your party and our other guests on the occasion, it is important that we seat you at the time of your booking. This way you can make your menu choices in our relaxed lounge bar area and enjoy a pre-dinner drink
