Why THOMPSON St Albans?
With our 3 Rosettes and Michelin star status Phil Thompson, head chef /owner, as a team we are literally ‘gunning’ to regain that Michelin star at THOMPSON St Albans – you will spot the Michelin plate displayed outside the restaurant to show that Michelin are watching us!
Our focus is on progression from within, training and mentorship, staff retention, and re-investing in the team and the restaurant. We offer competitive annual salaries/packages, performance-related bonus, cash tips as well as TRONC / service charge.
We are closed on Sunday evening, all day Monday and Tuesday lunchtime, and you will also receive another day off each week.
Junior / Sous Chef – £28k to £36k
Assisting with the day-to-day running of the kitchen, experience working at 2/3 AA Rosette level, with experience in teaching, mentoring and getting the best out of the junior members of the team.
Chef de Partie – £26k to £32k
We are looking an enthusiastic, hardworking, committed and reliable chef with a positive working attitude, minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a 2/3 AA Rosette kitchen to join our kitchen team.
Pastry Chef de Partie – £26k to £32k
Experienced in making bread, ice creams and sorbets, petits fours, chocolate work, plating desserts working in a 2/3 AA Rosette kitchen to join our kitchen team.
Waiter / Waitress – £23k to £28k
With a minimum of 1 years’ experience in a 2/3 AA Rosette or Michelin Star restaurant, a genuine team player, passionate about the hospitality industry, taking pride in your work, please come in for a trial shift! Food and wine knowledge is strongly desirable.
Casual Waiter / Waitress – hourly rate dependent on previous experience
